Timing & Synchronization

Networks are in transition. As packet-switched networks replace and augment circuit technology, new hybrid infrastructures provide key challenges for equipment manufactures and service provides - in particular network synchronization

For over 20 years, Zarlink's state-of-the-art analog and digital timing products have been ensuring maximum network uptime while meeting the grueling requirements of the ITU-T, ANSI, and Telcordia.

Today, we're aggressively developing new timing technologies, including Synchronous Ethernet products that solve hybrid and packet network synchronization concerns. We're also playing a lead role in defining next-generation network timing industry standards - including ITU-T G.8261 and G.8262 - and working closely with carriers and equipment manufacturers to ensure products meet the latest industry requirements.

Zarlink's highly integrated timing products increase performance, reduce costs and keep our customers ahead of the technology curve - we've got the solutions to solve today's and tomorrow's network synchronization challenges.
